From Châteauneuf-sur-Charente to Merpins’ bridge, the river wanders off through the lands into several small arms shaded by natural hedges.
It will take you past Bassac’s Abbey, the bald cypresses on the banks of the “Koweit arm”, and the beautiful mansions lining the route.
